For the past 8 years PWA’s Annual Joy Drive, a holiday food drive, has collected over 10 tons of much needed non-perishable goods for the Essentials Market – the only food resource centre in Toronto dedicated to serving people living with HIV/AIDS. Last year we collected over 2 tons of food and as visits to the Essentials Market are up 5% compared to last year, we hope to exceed the 3 ton goal this year.
From November 16 to December 21, you can drop off any non-perishable food items and in addition to the challenge of meeting dietary needs, clients express a growing need for personal health and hygiene products.
Drop-off Locations:
- Fresh Co. @ 325 Parliament St.
- Pegasus Bar @ 489B Church St.
- Ryerson University @ the HIV Prevention Lab 105 Bond St., Room 207
- Statlers @ 487 Church St.
- The Big Carrot @ 348 Danforth Ave.
- The Village Pharmacy @ 473 Church St.
- Woody’s Sailor @ 467 Church St.
If your apartment or condo building would like to participate in this year’s Joy Drive please contact Karia @ foodaccess@pwatoronto.org or 416-506-1400
